Half of them inside 74 seconds: that is the median over 3,603 US Apple Store restocks that sold out since October 29, 2026, so a typical listing lives about 60–80 seconds.

How many seconds does an iPhone Duo listing last?

About 60–80 seconds: of the 3,603 iPhone Duo restocks that sold out since October 29, 2026, half were gone within 74 seconds, 41% inside a minute, and the quickest in 1 seconds.

  • still listed = not sold out yet; the figure keeps counting
  • A range such as 45–60 s = gone somewhere between two checks; a single figure = both checks agreed
  • Every line = a single store, a single restock, timed in the store's own zone
  • Store by store, the same list sits on every store page

A typical iPhone Duo restock at US Apple Stores lasted about 60–80 seconds before it sold out.

How these times are measured
A row that reads “sold out in 45–60 s” means our check 45 seconds after the first sighting still found the configuration listed, and the check 60 seconds after found it gone. The width of each range is the gap between checks: 5 seconds at stores with alerts, 15 seconds everywhere else. A listing shorter than one gap can appear and vanish between two checks, so the true share gone within 30 seconds is higher than the table shows.

Stores with alerts are read every 5 seconds and every other store every 15, so no range on this page is wider than that. The iPhone 18 Pro figures are the same window, shown for contrast: the Duo is the one iPhone where seconds decide.

How much does a tracker on a five-minute check miss?

Most of the restocks: over the last 7 days (8,988 timed iPhone Duo sell-outs) a check every 5 minutes would have seen about 39% of them, a check every 15 minutes about 23%, and a check every minute only about 72%.

RestockWire: from the confirmed restock to the push on your phone
  1. Reloading apple.com yourself
One alert on two or three stores
Your stores are on the 5-second wire and every other Apple Store on the 15-second one; a first "available" is asked again about a second later, and the push lands about 3 seconds after that.
  2. A tracker that looks every few minutes
    A check every 5 seconds
A listing that lives about 60–80 seconds is usually gone between two slow looks.
How the numbers are measured
A listing that lasts d seconds is seen by a check that comes round every T seconds with probability d over T, capped at one. Our durations are upper bounds, because the sell-out happened some time before the check that saw it gone, so these rates flatter the slow trackers and never RestockWire.

How does RestockWire time a sell-out?

By counting the seconds between the check that first saw a configuration listed for pickup and the check that first saw it gone, at every US Apple Store since October 29, 2026.

sparseFewer than 10 sell-outs; shown, not ranked
medianThe middle value: half the listings ended sooner, half later; we never quote a mean
  • Stores with alerts every 5 seconds, every other store every 15
  • A restock = two agreeing checks about 1 s apart
  • A sell-out = confirmed on the next round
  • Launch days before October 29, 2026 and first sightings: excluded
  • A single odd response never reaches the log
What the floor hides
A listing shorter than one check can appear and vanish between two checks without ever being recorded. The share gone within 20–30 seconds is therefore a floor; the true figure is higher than any table on this page shows.

Why is every store "currently unavailable" when you look?

Because you are looking between restocks: a listing that lives about 60–80 seconds is on the page for that long and "currently unavailable" for the rest of the day.

  • Sold faster than it arrives: unavailable is the Duo's normal state
  • Apple's pickup page shows what a store can hand over right now, never when the next lot lands
  • On sale at Apple Stores from October 23, 2026
  • RestockWire's job: telling you within seconds, while the listing is still there to reserve

Is a minute enough time to reserve an iPhone Duo?

Only with checkout already staged: half of the 3,603 restocks timed since October 29, 2026 were gone within 74 seconds, 16% within 30, the quickest in 1. Have the buy page open with pickup chosen before the push, not after it.

Does storage or color change how fast a Duo sells out?

By seconds, not minutes: 512GB Night Sky has the shortest median at 55 seconds over 324 restocks that sold out, 256GB Star White the longest among rows with at least 10, at 67. Every configuration is gone in about a minute, so buy the one you want.

Do weekend restocks of the iPhone Duo last longer?

Unknown so far: a weekday comparison needs timed sell-outs spanning 14 days, and ours span 3. The measured medians replace this sentence once the span is reached.

Why does refreshing apple.com never catch a listing?

Because a listing lives about 60–80 seconds and the rest of the day reads "currently unavailable"; two reloads a few minutes apart miss almost all of them. An alert on your stores arrives about 3 seconds after a restock is confirmed (what one alert covers).

How does RestockWire know a listing is gone?

A configuration counts as listed when two checks about a second apart both see it for pickup, and as gone when the next round no longer does; the seconds between the two checks are the figure. All 269 US Apple Stores are read every 15 seconds and stores with alerts every 5, since October 29, 2026; RestockWire is independent of Apple and counts no other tracker's reports.
